Things Every Woman Should Know About Climbing The Corporate Ladder
While sitting alone in my room and thinking about my career and sipping some wine to quench my thirst (for success may be), I wondered, “what are the things every woman should know about climbing the corporate ladder?”.
No, I am still not a leader, a successful Senior Manager may be. But with a definite need to climb this so called ‘corporate ladder’ in a patriarchal society, where men are to rule and women are to follow them. However, I must confess, I’ve been very lucky to have spent most of my working life surrounded by strong women role models.
Is Employee Satisfaction, On Its Own, Enough?
There is no doubt that satisfied employees are excellent; they generally never complain. They do what they are supposed to do and when they are supposed to do it. Again, in general they are pleasant and productive. They feel adequately compensated for the work they provide and are pleased with the work environment they inhabit.
However, I feel that in today’s competitive job market and customer experience landscape, employee satisfaction just isn’t enough.
